Life-Changing Trip Ideas for Women

The RW Project's retreat focuses on fun and transformation

There are many benefits to solo travel, one of the biggest being that you gain self confidence from navigating new places, people, and situations all on your own. But when you're looking to travel to truly transform, getting away with a community of like-minded women can be a powerful experience.

One experience to try: The RW Project retreat gives a whole new meaning to the idea of a "ladies weekend." The brainchild of health and wellness coach Kristin Gracie, this premiere women-only getaway combines the pampering you'd often seek in a girlfriend getaway (think: wine-fueled dinners, in-room massages, and fun workouts) with the aspirational activities of a self-discovery retreat (think: talks covering faith, creativity, and going after your dreams).

It happens at the Hudson Hotel in New York City the weekend of June 10th through June 12th, 2016. If you're looking to take a personal time out for self reflection, are craving a learning vacation, or are seeking a girlfriend getaway more meaningful than the traditional shopping and spa trip, you might be interested in joining this special trip. To give you a better idea of what it entails, here is a sample itinerary:

Thursday, June 9th: Since the weekend doesn't officially start until the following day, the first 10 women to register get this bonus night in the Hudson Hotel and tickets to the premiere of the film Dream, Girl as well as to the film's after party at the Rivington Hotel.

Friday, June 10th: The rest of the group checks in to the hotel this afternoon and everyone gets in-room massages before going to dinner at Delmonico's steakhouse on Wall Street.

Saturday, June 11th: After breakfast at the hotel, the day is packed with talks and activities on faith, creativity, feminine energy, emotional kinesiology sessions, and figuring out what motivates you with a program called The Affluence Code. The lunch break includes a picnic in Central Park with beauty photo sessions.

Sunday, June 12th: The weekend ends with a SASS (sensual aerobic sculpting studio) workout and goodbye brunch.

Can't make it to New York for this event? The RW Project will be doing four events a year, with the next happening in September. You can register here or schedule a call with the founder to learn more.
