Perks of Staying at Universal Orlando Resort
Families staying at the on-site Universal Orlando Resort hotels receive early park admission to experience The Wizarding World of Harry Potter one hour before the general public.
Families staying at the deluxe on-site hotels also enjoy free Universal Express Unlimited Passes, which let them skip the regular theme park lines in both parks.
Universal estimates the value of this fasttrack-style access at $89 per person, per day.
All of the official Universal Orlando hotels offer free shuttle service to the theme parks and Universal CityWalk, either via water taxi or bus.
Least Expensive Times to Visit Universal Orlando
While hotel prices fluctuate during the year, ticket prices do not. As you might expect, Universal Orlando hotel rates are generally more expensive when kids are out of school—during summer vacation and other school breaks, and during the holiday season. Hotel seasonal rates fall into value season, regular season, summer season, peak season, and holiday season.
The least expensive time to visit Universal Orlando is during value season, which runs from early January through most of February, mid-August through October, and during the weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Note, however, that attendance increases significantly from mid-September through Halloween for Universal's Halloween Horror Nights event.
The most expensive times to visit Universal Orlando are holiday periods.
