What Language Do They Speak in Seville?
The Accent and Dialect You'll Hear in Seville
Sevillanos (inhabitants of Seville) speak with quite a strong accent.
They drop a lot of letters, including most occurrences of the letter 's' in the middle or end of words. So "two o'clock", which would be 'a las dos' in the rest of Spain, becomes "a la' do'". They also speak very quickly. This makes it quite hard to follow even quite simple conversations in the street.
