Lauren is a freelance writer and photographer with a focus on travel, outdoor exploits, authentic cultural experiences, unique events and festivals, and food + beverage. She thrives on random adventures, offbeat destinations, and grilled cheese. Wherever in the world she goes, you can usually find her exploring the outdoors, camera in hand. She has laced up her hiking boots and hit the trails all over the world, in places like Greenland, New Zealand, Norway, Austria, and the Faroe Islands. She enjoys camping too, particularly when it requires a floatplane or a canoe to reach a remote site. Follow all her travel ventures on Instagram, @girlwanderlist.

Lauren has been writing for various publications for the last 6 years and is a self-taught photographer. She's a regular contributor to Thrillist, Roadtrippers, Territory Supply, TravelPulse, and Matador Network. Lauren has reviewed products from hiking boots and tents, to parkas and active clothing for name brand companies and enjoys sharing first-hand, relatable insight. Her photos have been featured in various gallery shows, magazines, and shortlisted in the National Geographic Travel Photographer of Year Contest in 2017.

Lauren received a BA in Theater and Elementary Education from Saint Michael's College in Burlington, Vermont. Despite not using either of her degrees, she's extremely happy doing something she truly loves.
