A TripSavvy contributor since 2018, Laura is an Atlanta-based freelance writer and editor who has covered locations ranging from Charleston to Amsterdam for the site. She is the editor-in-chief of Modern Luxury’s Medicine + Doctors Atlanta and has covered wellness, food and drink, and travel for Atlanta magazine, Bon Appétit, Eater Atlanta, Eating Well, Fodor’s Travel, SELF, Travel + Leisure, and Women’s Running.

Experience

A former lifestyle public relations executive, Laura turned that passion for storytelling and compelling content into a successful freelance writing and editing career. Formally the wellness editor of Atlanta magazine and currently the editor-in-chief of Modern Luxury’s Medicine + Doctors Atlanta, she has covered wellness, food and drink, and travel for Bon Appétit, Eater Atlanta, Eating Well, Fodor’s Travel, SELF, Travel + Leisure, Where Traveler, and Women’s Running. An avid marathoner and certified classical Pilates instructor, she spends her free time road tripping and hiking throughout the Southeast with her Great Pyrnees/Australian shepherd mix, Rosalind. 

She has been contributing to TripSavvy since 2018.

Education

Laura graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. in political science from Furman University, where she was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa and co-founded an all-female a capella group. She received her M.A. in arts policy and administration from The Ohio State University.
