Laura Ratliff is TripSavvy’s editorial director. She joined the TripSavvy team in April 2019 after spending two years as a freelance travel writer and editor, where she spent more than 200,000 miles on a plane each year.
As a freelancer, her work has appeared in Architectural Digest, Condé Nast Traveler, GQ, Jetsetter, Bon Appétit, and more. Laura’s writing expertise spans numerous topics, ranging from travel and food and drink to reported pieces covering political and human rights issues. She has also held staff positions at Architectural Digest, Bloomberg News, and Condé Nast Traveler.
Originally from Texas, Laura moved to New York City in 2010 to pursue a Masters degree from the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY. She also holds a Bachelors degree in journalism from Southern Methodist University, where she studied human rights and photography.
