Laura Cruz-Acosta

Born and raised in El Paso, Laura has been cruising the desert landscape getting to know the hidden treasures of her hometown, its neighboring communities and the wonderful, friendly people.


Laura works full time as a writer for the University of Texas at El Paso, a Hispanic-serving institution with a student body of more than 20,000. Prior to joining UTEP, Laura worked as a reporter for the El Paso Times.


She holds a bachelor’s degree from New Mexico State University where she studied journalism, public relations and constitutional law.
