March Madness fires up the strip's casinos, resorts, clubs, and bars cheering for their favored basketball teams. While none of the games themselves take place in Vegas, you'll have a great time at the local sports bars or gambling at one of the top ten Las Vegas sportsbooks. You can also catch some great college basketball this time of the year at the same locations.

Part art festival and part street festival, First Fridays occur predictably on the first Friday of every month. A great time and a must-see for locals and visitors alike, the Downton Las Vegas event features some of the area's best talent—all for free. Whether it's your first visit to Las Vegas or you've been coming for years, you don't want to miss this early March event.

Much more than a flea market, this North Vegas swap meet has music, food, and family entertainment galore. There's even a special party mid-month featuring a local "celebrity" music artist, so check out the Broad Acres Facebook page for up-to-date concert listings.

Four-pawed friends descend on the Paseo Verde Park for Henderson's annual Bark in the Park. Come mingle, buy goods, and have a great family day. Best of all, it's FREE. The city of Henderson also hosts its own St. Patrick's Day parade and festival on March 16 through 18, so stop by if you want to avoid the bigger crowd in Downtown Vegas.

What started as a weekly hip urban farmer's market has now evolved to serve Las Vegas as more of an artist's bazaar at two locations. You can buy local produce, salsa, and hot sauce, or browse some art at either location in Henderson. The Inspirada opens every second and fourth Saturday while the Eastern Henderson Fresh 52 location opens every Sunday.

Fresh fruits, fresh veggies, and fresh air abound at this weekly farmer's market in eastern Las Vegas. The community of Summerlink also hosts a variety of events throughout the year at the Gardens Park, but the Thursday weekly farmer's market brings the biggest crowd.

Along with the parade and festival, there are a number of great resorts and casinos offer St. Patrick's Day revelry along the Las Vegas Strip. Stop by Rí Rá Irish Pub in the Mandalay Bay Resort for authentic Irish music and dancing on March 17 or head outside of New York-New York Hotel and Casino for a parade from The Park to The Brooklyn Bridge on March 16 followed by the Celtic Feis on March 17.
