New Year's Eve Events, Parties, and Fireworks at Lake Tahoe Ski Areas
New Year's Torchlight Parade and Fireworks at Mt. Rose - The New Year's party at Mt. Rose this year is also a 50th anniversary celebration for the ski area.
Events will take place at the resort's Main Lodge. Live music will start at 3 p.m. At 4:45 p.m., the Falcon Kids Torch Light Parade will wind down the mountain. A big fireworks show will fill the sky at 5:45 p.m. For more information, contact Mt. Rose at (775) 849-0704.
Family Dinner & East Coast Toast at Squaw Valley High Camp - Families can ring in the New Year at Squaw Valley with a family-friendly dinner and East Coast midnight toast at High Camp. This all-ages party includes dinner and begins at 6 p.m. The Toast does not include a cable car ride to High Camp, but season passes and day tickets will work. You'll bring in the new year with a 9 p.m. East Coast New Year's champagne toast (sparkling apple cider for the children) and fireworks. Visit the website for prices. Reservations required. New Year's Eve in Olympic House at Squaw Valley - After enjoying the fireworks show (best viewed from the KT Base Bar), get over to the Olympic House for a New Year's Eve party and bring in 2014 with a bang.
This is a 21+ celebration (ID required). Cover is $10, which includes live music, DJs, and five bars.
Heavenly Holidays New Year Celebration - Ring in the New Year at Heavenly Village, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. The evening will include world-class music, games, fireworks, and the world's only Gondola Ball Drop.

New Year's Eve Fire & Ice Celebration at Northstar California - Come ring in the New Year at Northstar California with our annual Fire & Ice New Year’s Celebration - its fun for all ages! They will be hosting their famous Kirkwood Torchligt Parade, down a to-be-determined run on the frontside, followed by a spectacular fireworks display viewable from the Village Plaza area.

New Year's Eve at Montbleu - The Montbleu Resort Casino in South Lake Tahoe is having a New Year's Eve bash that includes three party zones for one price - Blu Nightclub, Opal Ultra Lounge, and the Convention Center featuring live music by San Francisco's DJ Miles Medina. This an adults-only evening, featuring go-go dancers, body painting, party favors, and more. The celebration begins at 8 p.m. Tickets are $55 in advance, $75 week of the event.
New Year's Eve at The Crystal Bay Club - The Jackie Greene Band will be rocking the Crystal Bay Club Crown Room to bring in 2015. The after party will feature Mark Sexton Band. Regular tickets are $45, booth seats are $65. The Crystal Bay Club is at 14 Nevada State Highway 28 in Crystal Bay.

New Year's Fireworks in Downtown Reno
If you are in Reno for New Year's Eve, come to the 2014 - 2015 Reno New Year's fireworks show. There is great viewing from Virginia Street by the Reno Arch. The show is sponsored by the downtown hotel casinos and the City of Reno. Be downtown at midnight for this spectacular fireworks display and fun street party.
Whitney Peak Hotel, located next to the Reno Arch, will have a package deal for New Year's Eve partiers.
