A graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Parkside, Hansen—a Chicago-area native—holds a bachelor’s degree in English. She also possesses moderate fluency in French, the result of six years of study followed by translating materials for French employees at Six Flags Great America as well as chatting up French winemakers while on assignment at their vineyards in France.
