You're Invited to a Kentucky Derby Party
Head to Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, Connecticut, on Saturday, May 6, for a Kentucky Derby Party in the Grand Ballroom. Admission is free, and the race will be shown on large-screen televisions. Make a $50 wager, and you'll be entitled to a complimentary buffet, a free mint julep beverage and a souvenir Kentucky Derby glass while supplies last. For the 11th year, residents and organizations in Pomfret, Connecticut, join forces on Saturday, May 6, to offer bargains galore and raise funds for local causes. The Town-Wide Tag Sale in this northeastern Connecticut town begins at 7 a.m., and maps of participating locations may be purchased for $1 at Pomfret Community School at the corner of Routes 169 and 101 or at Christ Church, 527 Pomfret Street.
