With a diploma in Environment from McGill University, and a degree in architecture from Cornell University, Mok worked as an architect in New York City before returning to Canada to become a writer, illustrator, designer, and yoga teacher.

She is the author of “The Modern House Bus: Mobile Tiny House Inspirations,” published in 2018 by The Countryman Press (W. W. Norton & Company), which takes a look at converted buses that have been reborn as cozy homes ready to hit the road.

Mok completed an architecture internship in India, where she studied integrated sustainable living and design using compressed earth block technology in an innovative eco-township called Auroville. She helped create a cost-efficient design for a women’s community center in Tamil Nadu with eco-friendly earth materials.

She now runs a business called Collective Psyche that provides illustration, communications consulting, identity, print and web design services for non-profit and small business clients. She seeks out positive and uplifting stories in her work—stories about urban and societal renewal, transformation, permaculture, treehouses, homes on wheels, and "the miracles of the everyday, present moment."
