Kate is an avid traveler whose adventures have taken her from Alaska to Austria. She’s a frequent road tripper, traveling with her husband in their converted Ford Transit camper van. The pair are expecting their first child in early 2022, and are excited for the many adventures to come. 

Kate’s outdoor experiences frequently inform her work on everything from national parks and public lands to conservation and recreation. She is a member of the Outdoor Writers Association of America.


Kate majored in journalism at St. John’s University in Queens, New York.
