Kailua-Kona offers a nice selection of lodging both in town and at nearby Keauhou Bay. You'll find hotels, condominium resorts and luxury resorts in almost every price range. Here are a few of our favorites. Distances are based on distance from the Hulihee Palace in the center of town.

Aston Kona by the Sea 75-6106 Alii Drive - 1.71 miles south:

The Aston Kona by the Sea is a condominium resort fronting a magnificent rocky shoreline and private cove. It has recently completed a $1.4 million property improvement project and now offers an enhanced lobby, beachfront swimming pool and jet spa area. Units have been redecorated to reflect a casual Hawaiian style. All units offer ocean views and fully equipped kitchens. Daily maid service is provided. The resort is set among three acres of landscaped gardens.

Kanaloa at Kona by Outrigger 78-261 Manukai Street - 6.43 miles south:

The Kanaloa at Kona by Outrigger is located on an outcropping of lava rock overlooking beautiful Keauhou Bay. It sits on 18 acres of lush gardens and bordered by the 18 hole championship Kona Country Club golf course, This condominium resort offers spacious low rise one and two bedroom units designed for privacy and casual living. Each unit is fully furnished with a complete kitchen, washer and dryer and ceiling fans.

King Kamehameha's Kona Beach Hotel, 75-5660 Palani Road - .26 miles northwest:

Located in Kailua Village near the cruise pier, the 460-room King Kamehameha's Kona Beach Hotel stands on the grounds where King Kamehameha once resided in the heart of Kailua-Kona. It is the only hotel in Kailua-Kona that fronts a small, sheltered white-sand family beach. The hotel offers clean and comfortable rooms with modern amenities.

Kona Coast Resort 78-6842 Alii Drive - 6.4 miles south:

The Kona Coast Resort ia a low rise ocean-view condominium resort with a casual Hawaiian ambiance, set on 21 landscaped acres. Each villa is tastefully decorated with soothing Hawaiian accents, and include a full kitchen and all of the comforts of home. This full-service resort offers on-property shopping, surfside open-air restaurant and lounge, entertainment, oceanfront luau, split-level swimming pool, private sunning area and salt-water lagoon, tennis facilities, massage center, and more. Villas are situated where most offer views of the Pacific Ocean, Kailua Bay, or the hills above Kailua.

Kona Seaside Hotel 75-5646 Palani Road - .37 miles northeast:

The Kona Seaside Hotel is just a short walk from shops, restaurants, Hawaiian entertainment and ocean activities. This 225 room hotel has recently been renovated. Each room a king or two double beds, color cable TV, mini-refrigerator, air conditioning, ceiling fan, clock radio and full bath, There are two fresh water outdoor pools, laundry and on-site restaurant. The rooms are large and comfortable but can be noisy. There are 14 rooms with kitchenettes.

Royal Kona Resort, 75-5852 Alii Drive - .58 miles south:

Located on twelve oceanfront acres overlooking Kailua Bay in the heart of Kailua Village, the Royal Kona Resort features three unique towers. Many of the guestrooms feature stunning views of the Pacific from their own private lanai. Recently renovated, the Royal Kona Resort offers all new deluxe rooms, the new Don the Beachcomber restaurant, a new private beach and snorkeling lagoon, upgrades to the Alii Tower, open-air lobby, oceanfront swimming pool and grounds.

Royal Sea Cliff Kona by Outrigger 75-6040 Alii Drive - 1.43 miles south:

The Royal Sea Cliff Kona by Outrigger is set high above a lava rock bluff looking out toward the ocean with lovely studio, one- and two-bedroom condominium suites with complete kitchens. Each unit has a private lanai, air conditioning and daily maid service. There are also two pools, a jet spa and sauna. The central courtyard, with cascading stream, tropical flowers, and flowing vines creates a peaceful garden retreat within the heart of this residential resort.

Sheraton Kona Resort & Spa at Keauhou Bay 78-128 Ehukai Street - 7.2 miles south:

 

Situated on an ancient lava flow on Keauhou Bay and footsteps from the ocean's edge, you'll find the Sheraton Kona Resort & Spa at Keauhou Bay. Along with 521 spacious guestrooms and suites featuring Sheraton "Sweet Sleeper" beds, rooms also include lanai (balconies), in-room coffee maker and 100 percent Kona Coffee, wireless internet access throughout the resort, iron and board, hair dryer, television, in-room safe and mini-refrigerator. A pool covering nearly one-third acre meanders from the resort's interior atrium to ocean side exterior.

Uncle Billy's Kona Bay Hotel, 75-5739 Alii Drive - across the street

Located in Kailua Village across from the Hulihee Palace, Uncle Billy's Kona Bay Hotel is just two blocks from the beach and convenient to all downtown shopping areas. Somewhat aged, yet usually clean, Uncle Billy's offers affordable rooms with basic amenities including an outdoor pool, laundry room, air conditioning, cable TVs and daily maid service.
