Family Art Workshops
The whole family can participate in this hands-on exploration of art. Supplies are provided. It takes place at the Albuquerque Museum Saturdays from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. and is free with general admission.
Stories in the Sky
The free story time is designed for children 0-6, with parents, grandparents and family members welcome. Along with stories, children make crafts and play games. The free program is presented by the Balloon Museum.
Shakespeare on the Plaza
The Vortex Theater runs Shakespeare on the Plaza each summer. For 2015, enjoy The Tempest and Much Ado About Nothing on the Plaza downtown. Admission is free; the plays run Thursday through Sunday nights.

Albuquerque libraries offer a summer reading program from May 31 - July 25. Special programs include storytimes, crafts and other activities. Keeping track of reading, participants are eligible to win prizes.

The gates open at 3 p.m. and the fireworks begin around 9:15 at Balloon Fiesta Park. In between, there is music, a Kids' Zone, activities, food vendors and more. Park and Ride is available. Don't miss the biggest fireworks show in New Mexico.
