    One thing is for sure, Kansas City knows how to celebrate the 4th of July with a serious bang. Head to one of these great 4th of July Firework displays to celebrate this Independence Day.
  • 2012 MLB All-Star Game:

      Major League Baseball FanFest is an interactive baseball theme park and the largest baseball fan event in the world. MLB FanFest features exhibits and activities for families and fans of all ages. Now in it's 22nd year, MLB FanFest will transform Kansas City into a celebration that captures the thrills and excitement of Major League Baseball. MLB FanFest will feature interactive exhibitis and seminars, free autograph sessions with Royals legends and Hall of Famers, memorabilia and much more.
      • MLB Watch Parties:
        If you are unable to attend the 2012 MLB All-Star Game in Kansas City, do the next best thing and attending a local All-Star Game Watch Party. Located throughout the metro, it's a great way to be a part of the historic game.
      • MLB Events in Independence:
        Baseball fans are counting the days until the July 10th Major League Baseball All-Stars game at Kansas City's Kauffman Stadium. Why not drive a couple of miles East to nearby Independence to continue the celebration? From baseball presidential style to watch parties, concerts, and famed local legends, you'll find it in Independence.
      • MLB All-Star Red Carpet Parade:
        A pinnacle event as part of Major League Baseball's official schedule of celebrations, the Red Carpet Parade features baseball's finest parading through the streets before throngs of fans. The free event happens at 47th and Broadway and starts at 1pm.
      • KC Shakespeare Festival 20th Anniversary:
        One of the best events summer events in Kansas City just happens to be the Heart of America Shakespeare Festival. The fest, which is now in its 20th season, is held at the beautiful Southmoreland Park, just west of the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art and south of the KC Art Institute. The event is free and is a great event to take the whole family, or meet friends for a great evening of Shakespeare. The festival continues through July 15th.
      • First Friday in the Crossroads:
        Don't miss one of the best First Friday's of the year, July's!
      • Free Friday Night Flicks at Crown Center: http://kansascity.about.com/od/entertainmentattractions/a/FreeFridayFlick.htm
        Grab your lawn chairs and blankets and head to the Free Friday Night Flicks at Crown Center. Films will be shown on the huge outdoor screen on the Crown Center Square located across from the Crown Center Shops July 1st-29th. Admission is free, and the movies begin at around 9pm.
      • Crossroads Summer Block Party:
        Enjoy an evening of live music, food, and festivities to celebrate Kansas City's culture and its sweltering summers. Spend the evening chowing down on local food truck cuisine, hanging with friends and neighbors, all while taking in the sounds of KC's most dynamic local music at the Crossroads Summer Block Party. 19th and Baltimore, July 6th from 4-11pm.
