Looking to laugh your way through 2016? You're in luck, since famed comedian/actor (and New Yorker) Jerry Seinfeld is kicking off a yearlong residency at NYC's historic Beacon Theatre in January 2016. Fans can expect near-monthly performances throughout the year of "Jerry Seinfeld: the Homestand," a residency series that the comic said he was inspired to enter into given Billy Joel's ongoing successful residency at Madison Square Garden. What are the dates for the Seinfeld shows?

The following dates have been announced for 2016: January 7, February 18, March 2, April 14, May 5, June 8, July 7, August 4, September 29, October 6, October 21, and December 2.

Where will the Seinfeld shows be held?

Seinfeld's residency is at the landmark Beacon Theatre, on the Upper West Side. The 2,800-seat venue, which dates to 1929, underwent an extensive renovation back in 2008, and is a popular spot for intimate concerts and special events. Seinfeld explained, "My favorite theater in New York to perform in has always been The Beacon. Comedians live for certain houses that just feel ‘alive’ for some reason." He added, “The Beacon is that place for me and I am so excited to make it my new home."
