If you’re looking for a bag that can handle both short and long trips, IQTRAVELS’ Hanging Toiletry Bag is for you. Removable side compartments allow you to customize the case to your liking.
We purchased the IQTRAVELS Hanging Toiletry Bag so our reviewer could test and assess it. Keep reading for our full product review.
Since vacations are far from cookie cutter, you might find yourself shopping for luggage that varies in size. While it makes sense to have a carry-on and a checked bag, it’s a little cumbersome to have large and small toiletry bags. That’s why we perked up when we got news about this customizable, three-in-one solution. With two detachable side compartments, you can adjust the bag’s capacity to your specific travel needs. Going away for just a day or two? Take one of the small side pouches with you. Extending your trip to three or more days? Consider bringing just the main compartment. Should your travels be a week or more, zip all three together for a traditional hanging case. Keep reading to learn more about IQTRAVELS’ versatile toiletry bag and our review of its design, portability, price, and competition.
Back when we were school kids, we were presented with two main backpack options: the overly ornate ones with glitter, cartoon characters, and colorful patterns, and standard black bags without any frills or décor. Well, this toiletry bag falls into the latter category with basic black and grey construction. While the design leaves something to be desired, the bag ticks off every other box from capacity to portability. As far as durability goes, its waterproof, 600D polyester construction prevents rips and tears and contains spills.

With all three compartments attached, the bag measures 13 x 3.5 x 11 inches and weighs 12.3 ounces—AKA super light for its size. The only downside to its oversized design is that it takes up considerable space in a suitcase. Stowed in a standard carry-on, the bag managed to take up a third of our space and left minimal room for layering items on top. That said, if you’re traveling with just a small bag, you can likely ditch a few of the toiletry case’s compartments and travel with just a 3.25 x 3.5 x 11-inch side pouch. Or, you can pack just the main compartment, which measures 6.5 x 3.5 x 11 inches—slightly smaller (in height and width) than an iPad Pro.
The built-in metal hook makes the bag a go-to for hotel stays. Simply suspend it from a towel bar or closet rod, and your necessities—whether full-size toiletries or a collection of miniatures—are easily accessible. This is a major plus for those sharing their bag, as you can store communal items, like toothpaste and Q-tips, in a central spot—no more digging through each other’s suitcases.
We noted one design downside: the lack of a shoulder strap. Yes, you can stow the IQTRAVELS case in a suitcase or even your tote, but we could see a strap coming in handy—especially when the bag is filled to capacity.
We noted one design downside: the lack of a shoulder strap.
Sure, it’s possible to snag a toiletry bag for under ten bucks, but the likelihood of it being high quality and high capacity are slim. For just over $20, the IQTRAVELS bag provides a three-in-one solution. If you’re not impressed with the affordable price tag alone, maybe the warranty will sway you. IQTRAVELS offers a lifetime warranty that states the company will replace your toiletry bag if any damages occur. We’d say the warranty alone is worth $20.
EMME Petite Toiletries Travel Bag: If you’re looking for a toiletry bag that offers both removable pouches and an attractive design consider EMME’s option. Though the lay-flat bag is slightly smaller than IQTRAVELS’ at 3.8 x 10.5 x 6.5 inches, six compartments allow you to divvy up your items. The bag also features two detachable pouches—one clear and one opaque—so you can choose the capacity you need. The EMME is available in plain black as well as three different floral patterns. The bag rings up for roughly $40, though—nearly twice the price of the IQTRAVELS.
Ellis James Design Large Travel Toiletry Bag: Should style and capacity rub shoulders at the top of your toiletry bag wish list, take a look at Ellis James’ offering. The large, quilted bag measures 12 x 9 x 6 inches, and features a built-in hook, two main storage compartments, a small interior pouch, a medium exterior pouch, and a detachable makeup bag. If you’re struggling to visualize the bag based on dimensions alone, know that it can fit full-size skin and hair products as well as travel-sized hair dryers and straighteners. One thing to consider: Compared to the IQTRAVELS bag, the Ellis James costs a (relative) premium at $37.
With a three-in-one design, this bag eliminates the need to over- or underpack. If you travel light, use one of the detachable side compartments; if you like to load up on toiletries, use all three compartments as one. With so much room, you can overpack to your heart’s desire or divvy up space between multiple travelers.
