We’re back with our series Inside Atlanta—each week, we sit down with influential locals to talk about what Atlanta means to them. Today we’re chatting with Kristen Ledlow, the co-host of “Inside Stuff” on NBA TV alongside Grant Hill. Ledlow, who also serves as a full-time Turner Sports personality on networks such as TNT, CNN and HLN, is known for working next to Lebron James as the host of the Lebron 12 and Lebron 13 shoe launches.

You may even recognize her from her (unfortunate) lost free throw contest against NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal. Proud to be a woman in both the journalism and sports worlds, Ledlow was the very first female hired by the NBA TV network. Today we get a tour of The Big Peach led by Ledlow herself.

I live in… Midtown—I love it. When my job required me to relocate from my hometown in Tallahassee 3 years ago, there was nowhere else I would have chosen. Atlanta is big city living, but still in the South.”

You can find me… “at Philips Arena. If I'm not there to cover the Atlanta Hawks for NBA TV, I'm there to take in the action as a diehard NBA fan. Oh, and Justin Timberlake performs there from time to time.”

It’s Dinner Time, I’m headed to…Bistro Niko. I love getting dressed up with a girlfriend and sipping wine on the patio. I also love Bar Taco: laid-back atmosphere and great food. And on game nights, you can find me at Atlantic Station's Yard House.

I love grabbing a buddy, a few beers and talking ball.”

Clock strikes 5 o’clock, I’m drinking… “[One of what] seems like hundreds of flavored beers and ales on tap at Yard House in Atlantic Station, my favorite being pineapple ale (especially on a Thursday night to watch the NBA). I also frequent Tin Lizzy's in Buckhead, with such a fun atmosphere for a date night, girls' night, or game night.”

If I had to stay in a hotel, I’d check into…the Four Seasons on 14th Street because of the memories of visiting prior to my move. The location is incredible, and the rooms are beautiful! I still frequent Bar Margot as one of my favorite spots to grab a glass of wine with a girlfriend.”

Atlanta’s Best Kept Secret is… “It may be no secret, but there's nothing like catching a minor league baseball game when the weather is nice. I love driving north to watch the Gwinnett Braves.”

When I’m playing tourist, I go to…the Georgia Aquarium, as my first career dream was to become a marine biologist. I also love the World of Coca-Cola. And when baseball is in season, I take my visitors to Turner Field to watch the Braves.”

I get my sweat on… “with my trainer in Piedmont Park. I've also recently begun boxing at X-3 Sports. It's become my favorite activity–burning calories while punching something. Ha! I also love taking Zumba classes at LA Fitness to shake off the day. As a former college athlete, I've loved finding unique ways to stay in shape (and competitive!) in Atlanta.”

I love spending my money at…Atlantic Station. The big brands are available, along with some great boutique stores. The area is perfect for parking, shopping and then catching dinner and a movie later in the day.”
