Amazing food, amazing ambiance and amazing service in an amazing location can sometimes come with an amazing price, and many of Salt Lake's most romantic restaurants are also the most expensive. Many of us can't (or shouldn't) spend $150 or more on dinner for two. Don't despair! You can still take your date out for a memorable dinner with inspiration from this list of inexpensive romantic dining ideas for the Salt Lake City area. You can get out of all these places for about $30 or less per person, although some may have a few more expensive dishes on the menu.

Copper Onion is one of SLC's most acclaimed restaurants, serving fresh, locally sourced American cuisine. It's a little pricey for the restaurants on this list, but it's one of the city's best dining experiences.

Small plates range from $3 to $15.
Oasis Cafe is lovely year-round, but especially when the patio is open. The menu includes lots of vegetarian but also non-vegetarian dishes. Some of our favorites are the chicken and goat cheese tamales, tomato fennel soup, and vegan chocolate cake.

Sapa doesn't impress from the outside, but the interior is gorgeous, with eye-popping blown glass chandeliers and beautiful detail everywhere you look. The spacious courtyard is even more impressive, with 300-year-old Vietnamese carved wood huts that were imported and meticulously reassembled at the site. The food at Sapa is creative, tasty and moderately priced. Recommended: Baja California Roll, Volcano Roll.
Dinner entrees range from $10 to $20.

Patio dining can definitely add something special to a romantic evening. Quite a few of Salt Lake City's best restaurants for patio dining are also perfect for an inexpensive or moderately priced romantic dinner. Two of our favorites are Aristo's and Oasis Cafe (listed above).
Park City's Main Street
A trip to scenic Park City and a stroll up and down Main Street add something special to a romantic evening. Keeping in mind that restaurant meals are about 15-20 percent more expensive in Park City than in Salt Lake City, some good picks for moderately priced Park City Main Street dining are Vinto, Cisero's, Bistro 412 and Bangkok Thai on Main. Skip dessert at the restaurant and stroll to Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory for something sweet.
