Ice Skating Rinks in Paris: Where to Enjoy in 2017-2018

A Seasonal Treat

In 2012, an ice rink was installed on the Champs-Elysees Christmas market. Sophie Robichon/Mairie de Paris

Every winter, ice-skating rinks are set up at several locations around Paris. Admission is usually free (not including skate rental or general ticket to the Eiffel Tower). Skate rental generally averages around 7-10 Euros. This is a great, inexpensive way to enjoy the winter season in the city of light, irrespective of your family's background or spiritual beliefs. Especially on a bright, sunny, and crisp winter morning, it really can't be beat as outdoor activities go.

Please take note: Some dates for 2017-2018 have yet to be announced: please check back soon for precise dates. Most of the rinks open in late November and early December and remain open through January. The rinks (all outdoors) can be unexpectedly closed due to rain, snow, or other adverse weather conditions.
