There are three Department of Motor Vehicles offices (DMV) in Queens, New York. All of the offices offer the basic DMV services like issuing and renewing driver's licenses and vehicle registration, but the office in College Point consistently earns the best marks for lines and service.

Save Time by Preparing for Your Visit to the Queens DMV

To save time at the DMV, check out the NYS Department of Motor Vehicles website before you go. On the website, you can download DMV forms and find out what forms of ID are accepted. The website also allows you to obtain a driver's license -- including a commercial driver's license -- change your address, take care of registration and title issues, pay or plead a traffic violation and even register to vote.

If you still need to visit a Queens DMV office in person, below is a list of offices, general directions on how to reach them, routes convenient to each office as well as services offered at each location.

College Point Office

The College Point DMV office is located at Linden Place and 30th Avenue, near downtown Flushing in Queens. If driving to the office, you should take the Linden Place exit from Whitestone Expressway. The facility offers disabled parking and is wheelchair accessible. The Main Street subway station is also less than a 15-minute walk from this Queens DMV office.

At the College Point office, you can obtain a regular or commercial driver's license, as well as an ID card, take a road or written test, and obtain or transfer a vehicle registration, title or license plate. To take a road test for a regular license or CDL, visit the College Point office website first to schedule a test time. This office accepts cash, credit card, check or money order as payment options.
