The TaylorMade R11 has turned the world of professional golf its head. In May I was at the PLAYERS Champinship at Sawgrass; the white club head crown and black clubface were present in more than 50% of the pro's bags. Is it the new look, or is it all of the new technology incorporated into the clubhead? The clubhead is almost infinitely adjustable - loft, face angle, trajectory, spin. To be honest, it's all a bit beyond me, but TaylorMade has made it easy for even a non-techie like me (there's a little book). Still, it did take a little time to get the club properly adjusted to my own particular needs - trial and error (you can get yours adjusted at one of the TaylorMade Performance Labs). The club feels good in the hands, it's nicely balanced, and it's a real conversation piece too. Better yet, I figure it's added some seven to ten yards to my drive, and that is the real benefit. The Boccieri Golf Heavy Driver
The Boccieri Golf line of "heavy" clubs - the 2011 Control Series of counter-weighted golf clubs now includes drivers, fairway clubs, hybrids, irons, and wedges - is a new design in the Control Series of golf clubs that incorporates increased head weight to maximize force at impact and an exclusive back-weight system installed in the grip end of the shaft to raise the balance point for increased club head speed. The result is the Heavy Driver, a perfectly balanced golf club designed to improve body mechanics resulting in greater distance and control. Adams Golf Idea a12 and Idea a12 OS Hybrids
New to the golf club market are the Adams Golf Idea a12 and Idea a12 OS hybrids ($169), featuring Velocity Slot Technology. The latest from Adams’ innovation laboratory produces a spring-like effect across the entire face, resulting in greater forgiveness and improved launch angle without increasing spin. Golfers ultimately enjoy higher ball speeds and increased distance. To learn more about the Adams Golf Idea a12 and Idea a12 OS hybrids, please read my full review of Adams Golf Clubs.
The Adams Golf Speed Line Series of Drivers
The Adams Golf Speed Line Series of Drivers is the first in the industry to combine the proven benefits of aerodynamic shaping with optimally balanced lightweight club construction. Extensive testing showed that lightweight drivers from other brands ended up with very high swing weights, which most players tend to hit right. So Adams strategically placed weight in key areas throughout the clubhead, creating lighter inertia around the grip, allowing golfers to hit the ball straighter with less effort required to release the club. Adams Golf a12 OS Hybrid Irons – The Easiest-to-hit Hybrid Iron Set Ever
Engineers at Adamas Golf recently unveiled the best performing and easiest to hit set of hybrid irons, ever! The Idea a12 OS hybrid is the newest generation of the Idea family($699). Built with ultra thin faces, perimeter weighting and low center of gravity, the entire set is geared to getting the ball in the air quickly. Redesigned Transitional Hybrids with a “Truss Back” design allow better weight distribution and bridge the gap between the hybrids and the deep undercut cavity-back irons.
