It's sometimes called Marshall's Beach or Nasty Boy Beach, but Golden Gate Bridge Beach is the most descriptive, geographically.

Golden Gate Bridge Beach is very close to the bridge, just below some old military installations. Get a map and directions on the last page of this guide.

The "beach" is made up of three coves, all of them with great views of the bridge. The location is pretty, but it can be crowded and sometimes windy and cold.

Who's at Golden Gate Bridge Beach

Golden Gate Bridge is popular with the gay community, but you'll find a few single women and straight couples mixed in, too. Up to 100 people on weekends isn't unusual and a few times a year, the crowd can be several hundred. Weekdays are much quieter.
