Geneva-on-the-Lake, located on the shores of Lake Erie about an hour's drive east of Cleveland, was one of Ohio's first lakeside resorts. The area boasts plenty of things to do places to stay, from bed and breakfast inns to cottages to small hotels.
The Lodge at Geneva State Park
The Lodge at Geneva State Park is located at the western edge of Geneva-on-the-Lake, adjacent to the 698-acre Geneva State Park and the fishing, boating, and swimming located there. The lodge features 109 guest rooms, all with pine furniture and wireless Internet access. Some rooms boast dramatic Lake Erie views and microwave ovens and small refrigerators are available on request.
Facilities at the Lodge include both an indoor and an outdoor swimming pool, a fitness room that overlooks Lake Erie and a restaurant and lounge. A wine shuttle is available at a small fee for sightseeing in the area.
Pera's Motel and Apartments
Pera's Motel is a 1950s-style, single-story motel, located in the heart of the Geneva-on-the-Lake Strip, overlooking the golf course and just a short walk from the lake. Each one or two-bedroom unit has a separate living and sleeping area plus a fully-equipped kitchenette. Rooms are air-conditioned and feature free wireless Internet access.
Facilities at the motel include an outdoor swimming pool, a guest laundry and a picnic area.
