As the 3rd largest city in Sweden, Malmo has plenty to offer when it comes to nightlife and it is one of the most gay-friendly cities in Europe. Since Malmo features a very high residential density and is known as a city of short distances, most clubs and bars are situated close to each other - this makes it very easy to try several of them in the same night. Below you will find our top five choices for gay bars & clubs in Malmo.

Our first choice is Wonk, probably the most famous of Malmo's mixed gay nightclubs. It is also one of the largest, featuring 3 dance floors, 3 bars, and a karaoke lounge. In order to be allowed, you must be at least 20 years old. Every Saturday this nightclub holds the biggest (and some would say best) gay party in Malmo. Not to be missed. Wonk is located at Amiralsgatan 23, Malmo.

Cabaret Moulin

If you're looking for the best drag show in town, you have to visit Cabaret Moulin at the Tango Palace in Malmo. Usually, Cabaret Moulin holds a show once a month. Cabaret Moulin's three hosts, Carina de Soleil, Babushka and Elecktra often interact with the audience and they make sure that you will have a great time. Cabaret Moulin is certainly the best place in Malmo if you're looking for a drag show, so make sure to give it a try.

Bee Kök & Bar

Another gay-friendly restaurant and bar from Malmo is Bee Kök & Bar. Initially, it was only available in Gothenburg (the second largest city in Sweden) and there it is known as the best "straight-friendly" gay bar in the city. Bee Kök & Bar recently opened in Malmo and it is very easy to recommend. Located in the center of Malmo, Bee Kök & Bar offers good food and drinks and an outside seating area, in case you want to admire the view. The best part about the Bee Kök & Bar is that during the night it turns into a straight-friendly gay bar so you will be able to enjoy the pleasures of the Malmo nightlife without leaving the bar.
