Galvin Green is, arguably, the world’s leading manufacturer of functional golf clothing for serious players and also the No. 1 global golf partner of GORE-TEX®. I have been a fan of of Galvin Green for quite a while and this new line of clothing is their best yet. The new Spring/Summer 2016 line of Ventil8 polos, trousers, shorts and skorts has been engineered for superior moisture management in excessive heat.
The manufacturer tells us that the “innovative Technical Blends Offer Unparalleled Breathability, Wicking and Comfort.” Well, when I heard that I had to give them a try. I chose the Moore Polo in black. Why black? It was 96 degrees here yesterday. I figured if I could wear black and stay comfortable it would prove the shirts do what they say.
As I said, by mid-afternoon the temperature was in the mid-90s. I wore the shirt to the outdoor shooting range and spent an hour out there in full sunshine killing paper targets. The shirt performed beautifully. I was hot, yes, but uncomfortable, no. That being so, I highly recommend the new line of Galvin Green Ventil8 golf clothing.
Galvin Green, based in Sweden, is a “pure golf brand.” The company that developed the sport’s first apparel layering system – the Multi-Layer Concept – more than a decade ago.
