Hartselle Aquatic Center is a small, municipal aquatic center run by the city of Hartselle. It is really more a pool complex than a water park. It also offers a water slide, a lazy river, spray toys, kiddie areas, and concessions.
It’s not scheduled to open until 2022, but when it does the Owa Water Park will bring the first major indoor water park to Alabama. The 65,000-square-foot facility will feature multiple attractions, including a bowl slide and a slide with a mini funnel element. It will also include a retractable glass roof that will allow sunlight in year-round and open to the outside in nicer weather. Among the plans for the park are outdoor attractions such as a wave pool and a Flowrider surfing ride. Owa is a destination resort with a theme park, a shopping, dining, and entertainment center, and a hotel.
