Truth be told, the Olympic Park's Village Mammouth has been having a rough go this winter, what, with the constant freeze-thaw we've been experiencing since December. At last check, its skating and sliding facilities were closed. The Village is still open until March 12, 2017, at least in theory. Admission to the grounds is free but activities cost extra. This is gonna be a tough one. The only way to realistically experience Promenade Wellington's Cabane Panache et bois rond for free is to resist all maple products.
The annual street event running from March 23 to March 26, 2017 proposes traditional Quebec folk music, lumberjack-themed activities, games, and local restaurants and artisans selling their wares. Christ Church Cathedral, one of downtown Montreal's more noticeable cathedrals, proposes free Saturday afternoon classical music concerts at 4:30 p.m. The Church does however request donations in the $5 to $10 range. If you can spare a few, it would help to cover those exorbitant building maintenance costs.
