Free Things to Do in Montreal Every Day This October 2017
Save any lingering Indian summer days, Montreal is knee-deep in FALL come October. But don't blink. Its crisp, humidity-free days go by fast.
So how does one take advantage? Collect a bucketload of free compost. Enjoy dozens of free cultural activities in a day or roam free with fellow zombies later in the month, all fun stuff that takes a load off the wallet.
Granted, there aren't nearly as many notable freebies as in the summer. But that's okay. There are still just enough to enjoy the simple pleasures on a daily basis. Last call to try this free English walking tour on October 1 and October 8, 2017 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Just one thing: factor in a tip if your guide did an amazing job. Tour guides aren't exactly swimming in money so if a guided tour is offered free of charge, a little thank you tip goes a long way. Are you a Montreal resident with a green thumb and flower beds aching for enhanced soil quality? Do it is the easy, free way with the help of city hall's free compost giveaway this October 7 and October 8, 2017. Just bring a bucket, a shovel and proof of Montreal residence and access to the heap is yours. Take as much as you can carry. It's a great time for it too. No registration nor admission required. BUT you do kind of have to dress the part. It's easier than you think.
