Gambling, food and alcoholic drinks -Las Vegas, this ain't- aren't exactly free but admission to Casino de Montréal sure is.
And look for the self-serve self drink area near the penny slot machines where free juices, coffee, tea, milk and soda is available. Open 24 hours a day seven days a week, you could technically spend the afternoon (or the middle of the night) observing local fauna betting the farm. Too hot? Chill out. Take the subway and get off at Jean-Drapeau Metro. Exit the station and look straight ahead for Parc Jean-Drapeau's water jets. Consider bringing a picnic with you too. You're just a short walk from the Floralies Gardens.
