Celebrating Halloween does not have to cost a ghoulish amount of money, as several Denver events are held free of charge the week of October 31, 2015.

  • Hilltop Halloween Parade
    Sunday, Oct. 25, 2015
    Cranmer Park (between E. 1st and E. 3rd Ave. on Cherry St.)
    The free parade for children and adults in Halloween costumes starts at the sundial at Cranmer Park at 11 a.m. and travels to Robinson Park by 1 p.m. Organizers request a donation of canned food to benefit the Denver Rescue Mission.

     

  • Halloween Fun
    Saturday, Oct. 31, 2015
    Denver Public Library, Central Branch 
    From 10 a.m. - 4 p.m., the library will host a Halloween party for children with games and activities.

     

  • Halloween Bauble Magnet
    Saturday, Oct. 31, 2015
    Denver Public Library, Virginia Village Branch
    From 11 a.m. - noon, the library will teach children how to create a Halloween craft by making magnets.

     

  • Halloween Parade and Costume Party
    Saturday, Oct. 31, 2015
    Denver Public Library, Eugene Field Branch
    From 1 p.m. - 3 p.m.., the library will host a Halloween costume contest for children with prizes for best costume.

     

  • Halloween Party
    Saturday, Oct. 31, 2015
    Denver Public Library, Woodbury Branch
    From 2 p.m. - 3 p.m.., the library will host a Halloween party with treats and prizes for best costume.

     

  • Old South Gaylord Halloween Safe Street
    Saturday, Oct. 31, 2015
    South Gaylord St. between Mississippi and Tennessee
    From 4 p.m. - 6:30 p.m., bring your kids in costume to Old South Gaylord Street in the Washington Park Neighborhood for free trick or treating. The street will be closed to traffic for the trick-or-treaters.

     

  • Aspen Grove Trick-or-Treat Street
    Saturday, Oct. 31, 2015
    Aspen Grove, Littleton
    From 5 p.m. - 7 p.m., children in costume can trick or treat for free along the outdoor shopping center of Aspen Grove. Leashed dogs are welcomed at the event.
