Guided Tours and Talks by the National Park Service

The National Park Service offers a variety of FREE cherry blossom tours during the National Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington DC. Park rangers will lead the following tours giving visitors an overview of the history of the trees and the national memorials. Due to extremely limited public parking in the area, it is highly recommended that visitors take Metro or bike to the Tidal Basin. Cherry Blossom Ranger Talks
Dates: March 15-April 9, 2017
Times: 10 a.m., 12 p.m., 2 p.m. 4 p.m., 6 p.m.
Location: Thomas Jefferson Memorial, 701 E Basin Dr SW, Washington, DC 
Learn all about the famous cherry trees on the Tidal Basin.

Cherry Blossom Ranger Talks
Dates: March 15-April 9, 2017
Times: 11 a.m., 1 p.m., 3 p.m., 5 p.m.
Location:  FDR Memorial, 1850 West Basin Dr. SW Washington, DC
Learn all about the famous cherry trees on the Tidal Basin. Programs meet at the Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial bookstore.

Lantern Tours
Dates: March 17-19, March 24-26, March 31-April 2, April 7-8, 2017 
Times: 8-10 p.m.
Meeting Place: Tidal Basin Welcome Area, near the paddle boats in the Tidal Basin parking lot.

Run With a Ranger  
Dates: March 18, March 25, April 1, April 8, 2017
Time: 9 a.m. 
Meeting Place: Washington Monument (15th St. between Madison and Jefferson Drives)
Beginner and marathon runners alike will enjoy the beauty of the cherry trees on this informational and engaging 3.5 mile jog along the National Mall.

Ranger Bike Tour
Dates:  March 18, March 25, April 1, April 8, 2017
Time: 1 p.m. 
Meeting Place: Thomas Jefferson Memorial, 701 E Basin Dr SW, Washington, DC 
Grab your own bike, helmet, and water for a leisurely three-hour ride beneath the blossoms. 

Pups ‘n Petals Dog Walk 
Dates: March 18-19, March 25-26, April 1-2, April 8, 2017
Time: 2 p.m.
Meeting Place: On the backside of the Thomas Jefferson Memorial (East Basin Drive)
Bring your furry friend for a two-hour stroll among the cherry blossoms. Leash required! Bring waste bags and water.

Birds and Blooms 
Dates: March 18, March 25, April 1, April 8, 2017
Time: 7:30 a.m.
Location: World War II Memorial contact station, 17th Street, between Constitution and Independence Avenues, NW Washington, DC
Enjoy a bird walk among the cherry blossoms. Bring your binoculars!
