Chuck Palahniuk’s 1996 book Fight Club was popular when released, and the story continued to gain ground when it was adapted into a film a few years later. The movie, starring Edward Norton and Brad Pitt, made the phrase “The first rule of Fight Club is you do not talk about Fight Club. The second rule of Fight Club is you do not talk about Fight Club,” a common phrase.

Flash forward a couple of decades and the story of Tyler Durden, the violent narrator, is back. The story lives in Fight Club 2,10-issue series released on Dark Horse Comics. Fight Club 2 differs in that it moves through time and the story opens a decade after the book timeline ended.

The gist is this: ten years after starting Project Mayhem, Sebastian lives a mundane life. A kid, a wife. Pills to keep his destiny at bay. But it won’t last long; the wife has seen to that. He’s back where he started, but this go-round he’s got more at stake than his own life. So he tries to get his younger life back.

To tell the story, New York Times best-selling novelist Chuck Palahniuk and acclaimed artist Cameron Stewart have collaborated for the return of Tyler Durden. The critically acclaimed ten-issue comic series has garnered fans. Enough that the issues can now be purchased bound together into on hardcover collection. Great news for fans of Fight Club 2.

Added fan bonus: Palahniuk is on a 10-city book tour to support the release of this graphic novel. One of the stops is Louisville!
