While much of the country hunkers down and tries to stay warm in February, the shortest month means high tourist season in the desert Southwest.

With a packed schedule of art festivals, sporting events, and other indoor and outdoor activities, Phoenix visitors don't have to look hard for something to do, and there's no need to worry about snow or cold ruining your plans.

From museum and gallery openings to county fairs, there's plenty to do in Phoenix this month, and many of the events and exhibits are free to attend—meaning you won't have to break the bank during a fun trip to Arizona this winter.
