George Winston will perform at the Center Stage in Santa Fe on February 5 and 6, and at the Outpost in Albuquerque on February 3.

First Friday Fractals
Art and science meet under the planetarium dome for these live presentations. Fractals Rock has more rock music and less talk. See it the first Friday of every month at the New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science.

First Friday ARTScrawl
With over 20 different galleries throughout the city participating, you can choose which ones to visit to find out what's happening with guilds, individual artists and ongoing shows. The free Artscrawl happens the first Friday of every month.

Carnaval Celebration
The annual Carnaval celebration at the National Hispanic Cultural Center is a festive evening of music and dance. See the Odara Dance Ensemble and the musical group PANdemonium.

Riverdance
Escape the ordinary and see Riverdance on their 20th anniversary world tour. See it at Popejoy Hall for five shows.

Two Eagles Premiere
The documentary about the Two Eagles and crossing the Pacific by balloon will premiere at the KiMo Theatre.

The Albuquerque Museum offers hands on workshops that encourage creative thinking and explorations into art. The workshops are free with regular admission.

Sunday Chatter
Every week at Sunday Chatter, folks gather to hear classical music, poetry and more. Arrive at the Las Puertas event center. Each program of ensemble music and poetry/spoken word begins at 10:30 a.m. Tickets available online. Frequent passes are available.

Winter Fire Color
The Mediterranean Conservatory at the Botanic Gardens will feature a floral display of hot colors to warm up the cold winter days. Free with admission.

Great Backyard Bird Count
Join bird watchers for this annual nationwide birding event. Citizen scientists will collect information on migratory birds at the Botanic Garden. RSVP/register by calling BioPark Education at (505) 848-7180.

Southwest Burlesque Showcase
The annual showcase brings together burlesque performers from the west as well as a few from New Mexico. The style is classic 40s and 50s and is full of song, dance, and a bit of naughty fun. See it at the KiMo.

New Mexico Shrine Circus
The three ring Shrine Circus runs for three days and eight shows. All proceeds benefit Ballut Abayd Shrine Center, which gives to children who need medical care.

See it at the New Mexico Expo; you have eight shows to choose from.

KlezmerQuerque
The 14th annual KlezmerQuerque is a festival of concerts, workshops and dance parties over the three day President's day weekend. Enjoy the traditional dance and music of the eastern European Jews--klezmer. Dance parties are for all ages. The three days of concerts, dance parties and workshops take place at Nahalat Shalom.

The Odd Couple
Neil Simon's Odd Couple is the story of a mismatched set of roommates. See it at the Adobe Theater.

Love Bugs
A special love bugs, adults-only event takes place at the Bugarium at the Botanic Garden. You'll have live bug encounters, appetizers from 6 - 7 and can have dinner at the Shark Reef Cafe. $30 for the BUGarium admission, talk with a zookeeper and appetizers, and $45 with dinner.

Salsa Love Fest
The Salsa Love Fest features dance classes with visiting instructors, and dancing Saturday night. Have a romantic dinner and go to the historic El Rey Theatre downtown. There will be chocolate fountains, desserts, drink and a cash bars as well as an enormous dance floor. This is an 18+ event.

Cupid's Chase 5K Run
The Cupid's Chase run is a national 5K event that takes place in 24 cities, on the same day, at the same time. Proceeds benefit Community Options, which provides supports to people with disabilites. There will be giveaways and prizes, and of course, the chance to see balloons! Walkers are welcome. The run will be at the Balloon Fiesta Park in Albuquerque and Villa Linda Park in Santa Fe.

The world famous antics of the Globetrotters comes to the Santa Ana Star Center in Rio Rancho.

Valentine's Day at the Zoo
Celebrate Valentine's Day at the zoo, where you'll learn about species survival plans and the reproductive habits of animals. Animals include snow leopards, reticulated giraffes and koalas.

Valentine's Enrichment
The zoo's animals will receive special Valentine's gifts and treats. See how the animals react and talk to the zookeeper, who will explain the importance of enrichment.

That's A-Moray!
The adults-only tour at the Aquarium will look at the exotic and erotic behavior of aquatic animals. Enjoy appetizers and one adult beverage, and have dinner afterwards at the Shark Reef Cafe.

Friends and Lovers Balloon Rally
The balloon rally takes place at the Balloon Fiesta Park.

Kids Fishing Fair
Children, ages 4-12, can learn about fishing by visiting the interactive Discovery Stations. No registration is required. The free event takes place at Tingley Beach, and also features free fly-fishing lessons for kids.
