Father’s Day is Sunday, June 21, 2015. Consider the possibilities of making him feel special. Take him to brunch, give him a game of golf, or take him out to the ballgame over the Father's Day weekend.

Summer Nights Concerts: The Noms
The Father's Day weekend can begin at the Botanic Garden with an outdoor concert of harmonic rock music. The concert runs 7 p.m. - 9 p.m., Thursday, June 16; gates open at 6 p.m., concert begins at 7 p.m. Summer Nights happens at the Botanic Gardens, 2601 Central NW.

Zoo Music: The Young Dubiners
The Celtic music of the Young Dubliners will be at the Zoo on Friday, June 17. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the music begins at 7:30. Take a picnic dinner and see the zoo animals before the show.

Calle 66
Calle 66 will perform at the Albuquerque Museum on June 17 from 7 to 10 p.m. 

Pollinator Celebration
Learn about bees, butterflies, beetles, bats, birds and other pollinators at the Botanic Garden on June 18 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

World Giraffe Day
Learn about the African giraffe at the Zoo on June 18, 19 and 21, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be hands-on discovery stations, activities and giraffe feeding from noon to 1:30 p.m.

Cliff's Amusement Park
Take Dad to Cliff's on Father's Day, where he'll ride free. Celebrate all weekend long. When a family brings Dad to the park and purchases their add day ride pass at the gate, Dad gets a free all day ride pass on June 18 or 19.

Juneteenth: African Roots of Jazz
Hear a full lineup of talented black musicians at the Albuquerque Museum on Saturday, June 18 at 7 p.m.

Mopar Car Fest Show
If Dad loves cars, this is the show for him. There will be car shows with classic, muscle, custom and restored vehicles, as well as raffles, car contests and more. It happens Saturday, June 18 from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Haynes Park in Rio Rancho. This is a free event.

Sagebrush Father's Day Weekend Auto Show
There will be more than 200 classic cars, antique tractors, hot rods, custom cars, and motorcycles at Sagebrush Community Church on Coors on Saturday, June 18 from 3 to 9 p.m. and Sunday, June 19 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m

Isotopes Home Game
The Isotopes play Reno for a series of home games over the weekend. Enjoy post-game fireworks on June 18 and on Father's Day, June 19. It's Star Wars night on Saturday, June 18. On Father's Day, there will be a pre-game catch on the field at Isotopes Park.

Father's Day in Old Town
Spend the day in Old Town, where there will be music by the band Flashback, who will play classic hits from 1 to 3 p.m. on June 19. Enjoy the free concert, good, shopping and more. 

Rail Yards Market
The spectacular Rail Yards Market in Barelas will feature entertainment all day long. Take Dad out for a breakfast burrito or special treat from a parked food truck, and then take him to the Yards for a bit of Father's Day shopping. The market takes place Sunday, June 19.

Sunday Chatter
Hear Austen Revel at this Sunday morning institution. The June 19 performance begins at 10:30 a.m. via Sunday Chatter.

Father's Day Fiesta at the Zoo
Take the family and some blankets to the zoo and enjoy the Family Stone. Hear great music and enjoy the special exhibits and prize giveaways. Visit the zoo from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to learn about giraffes. Enjoy music by Pescadores del Rio Conchos, Reunion, Grupo La Zorra, and El Complemento De La Sierra. There will be discovery stations about animal dads at the zoo. Take a free park and ride shuttle from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. from the lot at the Botanic Garden/Aquarium. The concert takes place Sunday, June 19 from noon to 5 p.m. Bring blankets, lawn chairs and picnics. Food, beer and wine will be available for purchase.

Father's Day Weekend Brunch and Dinner Specials

Buca de Beppo
Eat at Buca with Dad if he loves Italian. The restaurant opens at 11 a.m.

Chama River Brewing Company
Bring Dad to Chama on Father's Day for a special meal.

has a special brunch menu for Dad that includes specialties such as the Irish breakfast sandwich and huevos rancheros. Try drinks such as Hair of the Dog, which is packed with bacon and Bloody Mary. Brunch is available at both locations. Hear Holy Water and Whiskey from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Nob Hill location, or Pawn Drive from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Heights location on Sunday, June 19.

Thur Shan Buffet at Sandia Casino
The Father's Day buffet special includes brunch specials such as pancakes and waffles, eggs, biscuits and gravy, an omelet station and more breakfast items. There will be pizza, calzones, seafood, smoked meats, Asian dishes, New Mexican dishes and more. End it with a dessert display. Brunch items run from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Father's Day buffet continues until 9 p.m. Cost is $22.95 per person, or $13.95 for children 5 - 11.

Head to Zinc for their Father's Day brunch from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., featuring both regular brunch menu and specials such as pulled pork sliders and seafood cake Benedict. In the evening, Zinc will feature Americana musician Jim Almand in the Cellar Bar from 6 to 9 p.m. In the cellar and main dining room from 5 to 9 p.m., enjoy a special three course Prime Rib Prix Fixe dinner for $42, plus a One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer flight for $15. offers dads the chance to ride free with their kids on Father's Day, Sunday, June 19, or on Saturday, June 18. With one paying ride pass at the regular price, Dad can ride side by side on the Wind Rider or get rattled up in the Rattler at Cliff's. Dads splash and ride for free.
