Each of these hotels offers qualities that can help create a family-friendly Las Vegas vacation. Generally, I would stay away from Downtown Las Vegas Hotels for kids as there is much less to entertain the children. Remember, Las Vegas is an adult playground so you might come in contact with smokers, drinkers and scantily clad party goers. If you can deal with that you should have a great time.

Monte Carlo Hotel and Casino has a great pool of kids and fast-food restaurants right near the elevators. The rooms are spacious enough to cram in the kids and not step on too many toys. Great location across from the showcase mall and Gameworks and right beside the new Park Las Vegas.

You'll be pleased with the pool area because it has a lazy river, a small wave pool and a couple of smaller pools that allow you to spread out and expand the fun factor. There is also a spot with sand where a volleyball court is set up.

Food options include a decent food court with pizza and a McDonald's as well as the Pub that is usually kid-friendly during the afternoon hours. d.Vino has moderately priced Italian food and some good lunch specials. Walk outside and 800 Degrees Pizza has the best deal on cheap food on the strip. Need burgers, Shake Shack is also right next door.

Location: The Monte Carlo is between the New York/New York Hotel and Aria so you get plenty of options for entertainment and food. The kids will enjoy the attractions at NY/NY and Excalibur and they are all within walking distance. If you want to spend a little more money and have some space for the entire family consider Hotel 32 at the Monte Carlo.

Kid Friendly Hotels in Las Vegas - New York/New York Hotel and Casino

New York/New York Hotel and Casino has a huge roller coaster out front and a great food court. The arcade area is one of the biggest in Las Vegas and can easily occupy the kids for hours. Across the street from the Excalibur and the movie theaters at the showcase mall. The location makes this resort a real good choice with access to the Excalibur and Luxor and quality affordable food nearby.

Try the food court downstairs for cheap food options or walk outside to Shake Shack, Bruxie and Beerhaus for more options in The Park Las Vegas.

Kid Friendly Hotels in Las Vegas - Flamingo Las Vegas

Flamingo Hotel and Casino is good for families because it has great lower room rates and a good location. There is a family pool that includes a water slide as well as family friendly areas to keep wandering eyes away from typical Las Vegas pool shenanigans. Its proximity to the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace and for family friendly food make it reasonable for families looking for a center strip hotel. Also from this spot, everything is walking distance.

The food court is convenient for quick meals or breakfast. The LINQ is right next door with more affordable food options and a few spots for the good sweet stuff that kids crave.

Kid Friendly Hotels in Las Vegas - Excalibur Hotel and Casino

Excalibur Hotel and Casino has a fantastic game area on the level below the casino. There plenty of games for children of all ages and you will leave there with a few stuffed animals. The corner of Tropicana and Las Vegas Blvd. is easily the best place to stay with families because of the number of hotels nearby that have family-friendly activities.

Cheap food options exist at NY-NY Resort and Monte Carlo Hotel within walking distance. The food court at Excalibur is ample for a snack. The rooms were updated recently but by no means are luxury. You get what you pay for but it is a real good bargain for a strip hotel.

Kid Friendly Hotels in Las Vegas - Mandalay Bay Hotel Las Vegas

The Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino is at the upper end of what you might want to do for a family vacation. The wave pool and lazy river offer hours of fun and Shark Reef offers up-close encounters with plenty of species of marine life. Fast food is scarce but a tram can take you to the Luxor or Excalibur in a matter of minutes.

Cheap food options include Burger Bar and Slice of Vegas. Michael Jackson ONE is a show that works for kids although the price for a family four can get steep very quickly.

Family Friendly Hotels in Las Vegas: Circus Circus Hotel Las Vegas

Circus Circus Hotel and Casino always has very reasonably priced rooms. Adventuredome, free circus acts and a ton of cheap eats makes this ideal for families. However, the property is a bit dated and need some cleaning up. While some of the rooms have been updated it can seem a bit old. However, if you are looking for a budget friendly hotel, it is hard to beat Circus Circus if you are traveling with kids.

Food options are plentiful in he budget category and your kids will have plenty to do in the arcades of the midway.
