Lunar New Year Celebration
Fair Oaks Mall in Fairfax, Virginia hosts one of the largest Lunar New Year celebrations in the Washington DC area. The two-day event features traditional Chinese dragon dances; music and dance performances; martial arts demonstrations; children’s crafts; and a special lantern festival. More than 200 performers participate representing China, Korea, India, Thailand, Vietnam, Mongolia, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Polynesia and the 50th state of Hawaii.

Drummers - Lunar New Year Fair Oaks Mall
Fair Oaks Mall’s Lunar Year Festival is presented by the Washington Hai Hua Community Center, an organization that has been dedicated to working as a bridge between new Asian immigrants and American society since 1989. Dozens of local Asian groups participate in the annual event.
