In recent months, Charlotte has seen an explosion of escape room experiences -- physical games where groups of people are literally locked in a themed room with other participants and have to use elements of the room to solve puzzles, find clues, and ultimately escape the room within a certain time limit.
Escape rooms are very popular as work team building exercises, for date nights, or just for a night out with friends. Rooms are usually designed for 2 to 10 people at a time, and average about $30 per person. Expect to spend about 60 to 90 minutes in each room, unless you solve it faster, of course!
