Albuquerque has plenty of craft beer breweries where it's easy to sit down and pull up to a pint. The annual ABQ Hopfest celebrates these breweries and their fine craft beers each year. For 2016, the annual celebration takes place Saturday, August 27, at the Isleta Resort and Casino.

Beer lovers will get to sample beers and taste different beer styles. Learn how to make beer with the experts. There will also be food, games and the chance to win free beer for a year.

The event brings together more than 50 breweries and over 150 specialty and micro-bewed beers. Guests sample beers while music plays on three different sound stages. Eight bands will perform a variety of music throughout the event at three different stages. Food vendors will be on hand for anyone hungry as well as thirsty.

The annual event benefits the Make-A-Wish Foundation of New Mexico, which helps grant wishes to local children with life-threatening medical conditions.
