My kids tricked me into riding El Loco the roller coaster inside Adventuredome at Circus Circus more than once. I'll do anything once. Twice, I'm not really that naive. Well, that is unless my kids say that they would really like to spend more time with me. At that point I melt.
I am a softy.
Let me explain that I am not old. I am the exact same person I was when I loved roller coasters. El Loco at Adventuredome did something to me.
It scared me. It rattled me. It changed my perspective. I think it has something to do with my 9 year old telling me he hated the ride or with my 13 year-old making me ride it 7 times.

To say I hate El Loco is a bit harsh, but I hate it. My 9 year-old is still talking about it months after we rode it together. My 13 year old loved it so much he has returned a few more times to experience it. My wife, well, let's just say that after two rides she both loved the excitement that my kids had while riding it and hated the way her stomach felt after each of the upside down, white knuckle rides she had to endure. She is the smart one in the family as she disappeared while we made our way through the amusement park on the Las Vegas strip.

Kids can have a good time in Las Vegas and there are plenty of reasons to take YOUR children to Las Vegas. As for me, I don't want to take my kids to Adventuredome even though I know they will have more fun than they can handle. I want to hire someone to go on the crazy roller coasters and that Kaos spinning thing that makes me feel bad for 5 days straight.
My kids continue to pester me about returning to Adventuredome just to get another ride in on El Loco. I can't do it.
Well, I shouldn't say never, I already promised I would ride it with my son for his 14th birthday. Yes, 14 times.
