Whether you head downtown or set your calendar for one of the summer's special events, you can very nearly enjoy free live music performances on a daily basis from May to July. And if you're outside of the city center, all of the area communities offer their own free concert series. In Edmond, there are Concerts in the Park, featuring local musicians performing in a broad range of genres and forms, from classic rock and blues to country and bluegrass. See below for a full, current schedule. Details: Edmond Concerts in the Park take place from 6:15 to 8:45 p.m. each Thursday evening through the summer months of June and July. Location, Directions & Parking: In the northside metro community of Edmond, the Concerts in the Park series takes place at the city's E.C. Hafer Park. It is located just north of 15th Street off of Bryant Avenue.From Oklahoma City, take I-235 (Broadway Extension) north to Edmond and follow to 15th Street. Take 15th east to Bryant Avenue, and turn north. The park entrance is located at 9th street; turn right.
