There are a number of great annual events in the Oklahoma City metro area for the Easter holiday. Many churches in the area, simply too many to list here, have Easter Egg Hunts as well. Here is information on some of the big Easter events in OKC.

  • Name: "Eggstravaganza" at the Sam Noble Oklahoma Museum of Natural History in Norman
    Date: Wednesday, April 12
    More Information: There's free admission to the museum from 4-7pm, and there will be plenty of games for the kids and a "giant egg hunt."
  • Name: Easter Celebration at the Orr Family Farm
    Date: Saturday, April 15
    More Information: From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., the Orr Family Farm's Easter Celebration will feature Easter Egg Hunts, duck races and egg decorating in addition to all the other favorite farm activities such as the train, carousel, zip line and more. Call (405) 799-3276 for pricing information.
  • Name: Easter Egg Hunt at the Myriad Botanical Gardens
    Date: Saturday, April 15
    More Information: From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the outdoor children's garden, kids can enjoy activities, crafts, an egg hunt with prizes, a treat station and a visit from the Gardens Easter Bunny.  Admission for nonmembers is $10, and reservations are required.   • Name: Easter Egg Hunt at Classen Curve
    Date: April 1

OKC Area Community Easter Egg Hunts

  • Name: Moore's 35th Annual Easter Egg Hunt
    Date, Time & Location: Saturday, April 8 from 10-11 a.m. at Buck Thomas Park Football Fields on 12th Street
    More Information: The Easter Bunny will be on hand at this annual favorite in Moore sponsored by Moore Firefighters and the American Legion. There also will be special prize eggs. Call (405) 793-5090 for more information.
  • Name: Mustang Easter Eggstravaganza and Egg Hunt
    Date, Time & Location: Saturday, April 15 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Town Center in Wild Horse Park
    More Information: Take photos with the Easter Bunny and enjoy the pancake breakfast, large inflatables, games and other activities. The hunt itself features over 15,000 eggs and plenty of prizes. Call (405) 376-3411 for more information.
  • Name: Norman's "Best" Easter Egg Hunt

  • Name: Choctaw's 19th Annual Easter Egg Hunt
    Date, Time & Location: Beginning at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 15 at Choctaw Creek Park
    More Information: Nearly 10,000 candy-filled eggs will be hidden in this event sponsored by the Choctaw Public Recreation Board. The hunt is divided into 5 age groups, and prizes are given for best Easter bonnet. Call (405) 390-8276 for more information.
