Washington DC Drive-In Movies at Union Market

Enjoy a drive-in movie experience at the highly acclaimed Union Market in Washington DC. The event will feature DC-centric films screened on Union Market's three-story exterior wall. Pre-show festivities include a contest, special giveaways, and the DC Rollergirls serving as car hops. A variety of Union Market vendors will sell food, drinks and snacks. The DC Drive-In Theater is created by Jon Gann, the founder of the DC Shorts Film Festival, and supported in part by the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities.

To include those without a car, a picnic area  is available on a first-come basis. The DC Rollergirls will be on hand delivering snacks and drinks on wheels. 

Dates: Fridays, various dates (first Friday of each month)

Location: Union Market, 305 5th Street, NE Washington, DC. The market is located a short walk from the NoMa/Gallaudet metro station.

Tickets: The event is $10 per car (tickets are available at unionmarketdc.com) a portion of ticket sales will go to the Wheatley Education Campus) or free for walk-ups and bikers in the picnic area on a first come, first serve basis. To hear the movie, patrons can either tune in to their car radios or listen over the loudspeakers.

Parking Lot opens at 6:00 p.m. Gates close at 7:45 p.m. Films begin at 8:00 p.m.
