United States Florida Dog Friendly Off-Leash Parks in the Orlando Area By Theresa Johnston Theresa Johnston LinkedIn Twitter Regionally recognized Orlando travel expert and freelance writer for magazines and websites TripSavvy's editorial guidelines Updated on 06/03/19 thenakedsnail/Getty Images There are many dog-friendly leash-free parks in Central Florida. These parks typically have large fenced in play areas so the dogs can run freely and socialize with other dogs. In some of the parks, there are separate areas for large and small dogs. Most also have doggy amenities like water and waste stations and people amenities like benches and pleasant scenery. Each park has its own set of rules. Many are common sense rules: dogs must be on a leash when entering and exiting the park, dogs must display current licenses and tags, owners must clean up after pets. Other rules, like hours of operation, are specific to the park, so it's a good idea to check on all the rules before taking your pet for some playtime.
