Editors Note: Disney's Festival of the Masters has been cancelled the last two years due to the expansion of the former Downtown Disney, now known as Disney Springs. It is unclear when or if it will return.
Every year in mid-November, Downtown Disney (now known as Disney Springs) is transformed from marketplace to showplace for its world-renowned Festival of the Masters. Artisans come from all over to showcase their creations at the prestigious show, which is ranked among the country's finest outdoor art festivals; and, has been one of the Southeast's most highly regarded juried art festivals since 1975.
Festival of the Masters showcases one-of-a-kind and limited edition works fashioned from clay, wood, metals, oils, watercolors and more.
The much anticipated event brings artists, collectors and art lovers together in a family-friendly atmosphere that not only features artistic creations, but live entertainment, children's activities and culinary treats. Children are invited to create their own masterpieces; and, other art-related activities for the family are held throughout Downtown Disney, including face painting by the cast of Cirque du Soleil. Also, kids will delight in building Lego models and creating their own sidewalk chalk art.
Artists displays for Festival of the Masters are set up in Downtown Disney's Westside and Downtown Disney's Marketplace sets the scene for elaborate sidewalk chalk art displays created by the Central Florida Chalk Artists Association. Hours are 10:00 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday.
