Disney's Animal Kingdom: Tree of Life

The largest of Disney World's four main theme parks, Animal Kingdom is themed entirely around animal conservation, a philosophy that Walt Disney promoted. The park opened on Earth Day in 1998. It is split into various sections, including Asia and Africa sections that look and feel amazingly authentic.

The symbolic heart of the Animal Kingdom park is the Tree of Life, which stands 145 feet tall and towers above streams, flowers and exotic birds. Carved into the tree's gnarled roots and sturdy trunk is a rich tapestry of more than 350 animals.
