In general, Disneyland is open 14 to 16 hours per day, every day in July. California Adventure hours may be slightly shorter.

Disneyland Crowds and Events in July
July 4 is also one of the few days a year when Disneyland can get so crowded that it reaches capacity. When that happens, they have to obey the fire codes and can't let any more people in, even if they have a ticket.

Disneyland July Events
For the July 4 Independence Day holiday, there will be a special fireworks show set to patriotic songs, with fiery bursts of red, white and blue.

Disneyland in July can be described in one word, but it bears repeating: hot, hot, hot. It always seems to feel hotter than what the thermometer says. In fact, you may get so hot that you'll feel like putting that ice cream on your head instead of in your mouth.
However, it cools off fast at dark. That makes an afternoon break an especially good idea.

What to Pack, What to Wear in July
Some summer mornings can be overcast. Don't let that fool you. Take your sunscreen and hat — and dress with a layer you can remove as the day warms up.
If you're going to watch Fantasmic! or World of Color up close, you'll be thankful for a water repellent jacket. Layers work best, clothing-wise. Make the innermost layer one that you'd be comfortable in if it's a little hotter than the forecast high.
