Disney's Fairy Tale Wedding Dress Collection for Destination Brides
If you really want to feel like a princess at your destination wedding, consider wearing a Disney princess-inspired wedding gown. Such dresses are a natural extension of Disney Fairy Tale Weddings, held in the Disney parks in California and Florida.
These dresses debuted in 2007 and were discontinued. In in 2010 the Alfred Angelo company began manufacturing Disney Fairy Tale Weddings Dresses by Alfred Angelo. All were named after the cartoon princesses but looked quite different. Note: Neither the original dresses nor those from Alfred Angelo are currently in production.
The dresses on the following pages come from the original Disney princess collection launched in 2007 and use organza, chantilly, chiffon, satin, and tulle fabrics and are embellished with lace, ribbons, crystals, pearls, embroidery, and beads. Prices for these Disney bridal gowns ranged from $1,100 to $3,500, and they were sold at specialty boutiques in North America, Japan, and Europe. Disney "Jewels" to accessorize the dresses and a line of "Maidens" bridesmaids dresses and small-scale ones for flower girls contributed to a coordinated look.
